She’s Leaving Home (FIN)

The band performs The Fab Four’s songs in fresh, keyboard-driven arrangements without guitars and with a female lead vocalist. The audience is treated to Beatles songs reimagined as disco, ballads, funk, and rock. The band also has a set of Wings/solo McCartney songs in their repertoire. One audience member described the band like this:

“So nice to hear someone doing something different with The Beatles music and taking it in a new direction.”

In addition to performing in Finland, the band has played in Brazil, Russia, Belgium, and several times in England and the USA. During these travels, they’ve connected with some of PBF’s international artists—who are now invited to Pargas. The Portuguese band The Peakles met SLH in both Belgium and England.

SLH is from Pargas and consists of vocalist Myyri Ruokolahti, accompanied by Riddo Ridberg, Anton Elmvik, and Oliver Tschernij. They released the album Marmalade Skies in 2022, the single Because in 2023, and the EP Sitting on a Cornflake will be released in spring 2025.
